All of the Candidate (job seeker) features of ApartmentJobs.com are free. Sign-up today and you'll be able to apply for jobs immediately.

How do I create a Candidate Profile?

Registration is free, quick and easy! Click the "Candidates" link found at the top of each page. You will be taken to the "Sign-up" page, where you can register.

What is the "Job Agent"?

The ApartmentJobs.com Job Agent is a powerful job/candidate matching tool we created to speed you job search.

This powerful tool allows you to pre-select job notifications by Title, Location and even a distance around a given Zip Code. When an employer posts a job matching your Job Agent, we notify you immediately via email.

Why can't I log in? I know my email and password is correct!

ApartmentJobs.com uses "cookies" and "JavaScript" throughout the website. Be sure you have these features enabled in your browser. These options can be found in the "Tools", "Settings" or "Preferences" menu of your browser.

Sometimes there's a typo in your email address during the sign-up process. If you suspect that your email address may contain errors, use the "Contact" link found at the bottom of every page to send a message to our Support Team. Be sure to give us your First Name, Last Name and Zip Code so we can get the error corrected for you.

How do I turn off my Job Agent?

Once you sign-in to your Candidate Profile, select "Job Agent from the menu at the top of the screen. On the left side of your Job Agent Settings page there is an option to turn this feature on or off. you may turn this feature on or off at any time.

How do I build my resume?

Building your resume is easy. Once you sign-in to your Candidate Profile, select "Resume Builder" from the menu at the top of the page. Follow the on-screen instructions and you'll build a perfect resume in a matter of minutes.

You may copy and paste your resume from an existing document, but be sure to check your formatting so your resume looks professional.

How do I change my Username (email address) or Password?

You will need to sign-in to your Candidate Profile using your old email address and password. Once you sign-in, the first page you will see is your "My Account" page. This page includes all of your account settings and options for changing or updating your Candidate Profile.

Just click the "edit" link provided by each item to make changes to that item.

How do I keep track of the jobs I have applied for?

ApartmentJobs.com maintains a permanent record off your application activity for you. You may access this information at any time.

Once you sign-in to your Candidate Profile, select "Application History" from the menu provided at the top of the page.

How old are the jobs at ApartmentJobs.com and where do they come from?

No job ad found at ApartmentJobs.com is more than 30 days old. All of the job ads found on our site were posted by the employers directly. You'll never find non-industry related job ads or outdated jobs at ApartmentJobs.com.

Employers may renew an existing job ad for another 30 days, but that just tells you that the employer is still looking for that perfect candidate and they recently renewed their ad.

How do I follow up with an employer after the application process?

Employers have the ability to include additional contact information with each job ad. If this information is available, a link will appear by the "apply Now" button as well as in your "Application History". Note that some employers do not provide additional contact information with each job ad.

Why do some "Apply Now" buttons take me to the Employer's website?

Many employers wish to process your application on their own website. Sometimes this requires you to register again at the employer website, which only takes a few minutes. ApartmentJobs.com encourages you to register at the employer's website if an "Apply Now" link takes you there. We want you to be successful in your job search, so leave no stone unturned!

Can I hide my resume from employers?

Absolutely! While most Candidates prefer that employers be able to search for them, we understand the need to be discrete from time to time.

Once you sign-in to your Candidate Profile, you will arrive at the "My Account" page. This page contains all of your account settings. To change any settings found here, just click "Edit" -or- "Turn this feature on"/"turn this feature off" next to the feature you would like to modify.
