RegularJOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Training Specialist is an integral member of the Sales Enablement team that supports the global sales team and is responsible for training the very best talent for the sales team. The Senior Training Specialist is accountable for the successful onboarding of new sales team members as well as the ongoing training of existing sales team members. This role will lead and/or facilitate the execution of all sales-related trainings. As part of the Sales Enablement team, they will also take on other responsibilities within that team when appropriate, like hiring and quality assurance.
This role is Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM fully onsite and the candidate must be open to travel at least once a month to our San Jose location for training.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Manage the training process for all entry level positions in Sales.
- Deliver engaging and effective onboarding and sales training sessions, leveraging your expertise to inspire and motivate.
- Partner with Talent Development and Sales Leadership to develop innovative sales training content and agendas that resonate with the team.
- Monitor and achieve KPIs that lead to success within the role.
- Consistently evaluate and refine training processes to ensure maximum impact and effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with Recruiting, Talent Development, Hiring Specialist, and Sales Leadership to align strategies and objectives.
- Conduct interviews and engage in the hiring process when needed.
- Provide support if needed to the team’s quality assurance objectives, to ensure consistency and excellence in performance.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university preferred in Business Administration or related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in sales training and facilitation.
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft suite, familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES:
- Work is primarily conducted in an office setting. Requires sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
- Requires the ability to work Mondays through Friday.
- Travel is required. At least once a month to our San Jose location for training.
- Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Minimal physical effort in the day-to-day tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from co-workers, sales team, and supervisor.
- Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems and regularly utilize independent judgement in matters of significance, including but not limited to developing new training for the global sales team. Requires basic analytical skills.
- Decisions made with general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.

The salary range for this position is $71,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $71,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
