Floating Assistant Manager - Bay Area

Job Description:
- Assist property managers with day-to-day operations across various multifamily properties.
· Provide exceptional customer service to residents, prospective tenants, and vendors.
· Coordinate leasing activities, including conducting property tours, processing applications, and executing lease agreements.
· Assist in the marketing and advertising of available units to attract prospective tenants.
· Maintain accurate resident records, including leases, renewals, and move-ins/move-outs.
· Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
· Assist with rent collection, invoice processing, reporting and budget management.
· Respond promptly to resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests.
· Collaborate with maintenance staff to address property maintenance issues in a timely manner.
· Support property managers in implementing resident retention strategies and community events.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
· California Certified Resident Manager License or willingness to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
· High school diploma or equivalent. Some college coursework in business, real estate, or a related field is a plus.
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in property management or a related field.
· Previous experience in an assistant manager or similar role, demonstrating the ability to handle various aspects of property management.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software (e.g., Entrata, Yardi).
· Understanding of financial concepts, budgeting, and basic accounting principles.
· Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, prospects, and vendors.
· Experience handling resident inquiries, complaints, and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear and concise interaction with team members, residents, and property management leadership.
· Ability to adapt to different property management processes, procedures, and team dynamics across various locations.
· Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends
· Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle responsibilities across multiple properties simultaneously.
· Ability to collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, maintenance staff, and other stakeholders to achieve common goals.
· Demonstrated problem-solving skills to address on-site issues independently and make sound decisions.
· Adherence to high ethical standards and integrity in all interactions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and ethical guidelines.
· Eagerness to learn and grow within the property management field, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
· Understanding of the local rental market, demographics, and community dynamics.
· Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative in resolving issues and contributing to the overall success of the property management team.
· Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and completing tasks accurately.

· Understanding of fair housing laws and regulations.
· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as travel between properties is required.
