This position is for a part-time temporary (20hrs/week) Youth Coordinator to work at Centertown, a family affordable housing community in San Rafael, CA. This position is to work May through September 2024. Qualified candidates will have previous experience working with inner city youth, be energetic and flexible. High School Diploma is a must. Bachelors degree preferred. Salary range: $20.00 to $29.00 per hour; hiring range for new employees is generally $20.00 to $24.50 per hour. Please note an offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate and the current salary level of individuals working at EAH in a similar role.

Assists with the expansion of after-school children and youth programs. Works with the Resident Services Coordinator volunteers and community partners to develop and implement children and youth programs. Understands and supports EAH’s mission and core values.


  • .Assists in developing and implementing programs.
  • Coordinates and participates in field trips.
  • Organizes tutoring and academic enrichment programs.
  • Coordinates age-appropriate youth programs such as digital storytelling and multi-media projects, college readiness, music and drama, recreational programs, career development, life/soft skills and software application, drug prevention and education programs.
  • Assists with the development and coordination of summer youth programs.
  • Assists in the recruiting of and coordinating the work of volunteers/interns.
  • Assists with registration and sign-ups.
  • Works closely with Resident Services Coordinator to coordinate activities and participates in ongoing planning.
  • Responsible for data management, attendance and record keeping for youth programs.
  • Organizes audio-visual projects.
  • Works with public libraries on educational projects.
  • Actively participates in EAH’s Injury and Illness Prevention Plan
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Attends mandatory meetings and trainings.


High School Diploma or equivalent. Some experience in youth development and program management, including after-school programs. Experience working with inner-city youth.


  • Must have a valid driver’s license and DMV clearance.
