This position does not come with a unit.

The Community Manager is responsible for:

  • Leading the overall administration, compliance, and maintenance of the property, while striving to maintain 100% occupancy
  • Must assume proactive behavior and measures to properly represent Quality Management Group, Inc. and build relationships in the community
  • Ensure resident files and Yardi data are maintained
  • Ensure applications for housing are processed in accordance with properties’ affordable housing covenants
  • Process annual re-certifications
  • Comply with all aspects of Fair Housing and Harassment Awareness training and protocols 
  • Handle marketing and advertising for vacancies
  • Work cohesively with staff to ensure vacancies turn times are met 
  • Ensure work orders are processed in Yardi within established timelines
  • Posts resident payments
  • Manage account receivables and ensure past resident balance due receivables are turned over to collection agencies
  • Keep resident ledgers accurate and works diligently with accounting to resolve any errors
  • Prepares bank deposits, annual budget, month-end reports, and maintains payroll records
  • Oversee a minimum of 1-3 employees
  • Perform written evaluations of employees
  • Respond to complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage ongoing positive relationships with City staff and other local representatives

Qualifications include but aren't limited to:

  • Project Based Section 8 experience
  • 1 year HUD and Tax Credit experience
  • 2 years in comparable role
  • High school education or equivalent
  • YARDI property management accounting software & billing expertise
  • Certified Occupancy Specialist (preferred)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Microsoft Suite 
  • Valid CA Driver License and car insurance required   

Salary: $23.00-$25.50/hour
