Abode Services, one of the Bay Area's largest and most effective nonprofits working to end homelessness. Our organization is currently looking for an experienced Compliance Specialist and Occupancy Specialist.
The Compliance Specialist has the primary responsibility of projects that are in strict compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations set forth by the agency and its affiliates, HUD, Tax Credit, investors, partnership agreements, and other local regulatory bodies. The position is also responsible for general compliance duties including but not limited to file audits, submitting funder reports, enforcing compliance policies and procedures, serving as compliance support to property staff.
The Occupancy Specialist has the primary responsibility for assuring all buildings applicants and current residents are in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal occupancy requirements for initial certification. The position ensures all applicants for housing are fully qualified and manages the various waiting lists and access sources for the organization’s portfolio of housing. Further, the position assures all Property Managers are provided with applicants for housing and provides support necessary to ensure eligibility is maintained at each of our housing sites.
