Shuttle Driver

Prescott, AZ

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for maintaining quality standards and providing excellent customer service to our residents. This role will ensure the physical and mechanical aspects of the community shuttle are maintained and standards are met.

 Duties and responsibilities

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.      Transportation

·         Responsible for the driving the community shuttle as scheduled.

·         Ensure gas tank is full and / or contains enough fuel for the daily schedule.

·         Responsible for keeping the interior and exterior of shuttle clean of debris, wiping down seats with sanitizer daily and meeting all public health requirements.

2.      Records and Safety Management

·         Keep a copy of community shuttle schedule on the shuttle.

·         Conduct daily inspections of the exterior and interior of shuttle.

·         Update daily inspection logs. Daily inspections for checkpoint items are required. 

·         Participate in developing and suggesting points of interest to the Community Manager.

·         Attend monthly meetings to review the upcoming shuttle schedule.

·         Accountable for reporting all new or on-going maintenance issues and coordinating with the Community Manager to schedule routine and/or urgent service appointments.

·         Responsible for maintaining and turning in receipts obtained for gas purchases.

·         Responsible for checking sign-up sheets and taking attendance for all shuttle trips.

·         Report accidents and emergency situations to the Community Manager immediately.

3.      Customer Service

·         Build rapport with residents by making positive and professional connections.

·         Assist residents on and off the shuttle. 

·         Assist the rental office with public relations/customer service, including set up and assistance during resident activities.

·         Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering questions from team and residents.

4.      All other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·   High School Diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred

·   Valid Drivers License; clean driving record

·   Demonstrated skills in customer relations and interpersonal communications

·   Demonstrated skills in basic conflict management.

·   Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and multi-task effectively

·   Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

·   Ability to produce and present formal reports to management

·         Regularly involves talking or listening, standing and walking, and the use of hands and fingers.

·         Occasionally involves crouching, stooping, kneeling and/or climbing or balancing.

 Physical Requirements

·         Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

·         Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, works with the fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.

·         Involves moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily product/technical nature.

 Typical Environmental Conditions

·         May be exposed to loud noise levels.

·         May be exposed to humidity, intense heat, intense cold, and fumes and toxic chemicals.
