SKILLS:
? Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, writing and computer skills
? Ability to effectively interact and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
? Attention to detail
? Ability to multi-task and work effectively in both a team and individual setting
? Flexibility and ability to manage a complex workload in varied work environments
? Willingness and ability to work some evenings and weekends; and experience with spreadsheet software; knowledge of community based services
? Understand the characteristics of the resident population and property in which they serve.
? Understand issues that may impact the differential use of services are socio-economic, age, culture, gender, race, sexual orientation, and others.
? Develop positive relationships with residents.
? Act respectfully, patiently, positively and with consent.
? Uphold core values: Service, transparency, performance, creativity, and community.
? Ability to work some nights and weekends


EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:
? High School diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in social work, gerontology or other social science preferred
? Two (2) years’ experience as a Resident Services Coordinator or Case Manager in an appropriate facility preferred
? Experience with networking and relating well with senior citizens and underserved populations in an appropriate environment, preferably arranging services for the elderly, underserved.
? Understand and have experience with independent living philosophy.
? Knowledge of the ADA.
? Experience advocating and facilitating WA services for persons with disabilities and seniors

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work is typically performed indoors and requires lifting of up to 30 pounds, and the ability to sit and work at computer for prolonged periods of time. Ability to work on your feet for prolonged periods of time.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
? Ability to operate in an open work area with moderate everyday noise
? Ability to perform other duties as required


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Travel will be required for off-site events and for team members assigned to more than one property.
