The Marketing Specialist, Integrated Marketing, is responsible for supporting our website, social media, online advertising, online campaigns, and other marketing initiatives through creating content, integrated messaging, and contributing to web design, SEO, SEM, social engagement, and digital campaigns. This includes independent contribution and judgement, working with and managing agencies, generating, applying and sharing market research, and cross-functional collaboration.   All initiatives will focus on adding market insight and driving traffic, leases, retention, and financial occupancy at new developments, redevelopments, acquisitions and existing assets.

Essential job functions include the following:
- Create compelling content and copy for Community and Corporate websites
- Manage implementation and maintenance of SEO best practices to enhance website search placement
- Develop content to promote corporate credibility and customer engagement. Integrate across all digital and traditional channels
- Understand Essex business objectives, KPIs and buyer decision drivers to maximize ROMI
- As part of a team, design and execute SEM and digital advertising campaigns that drives qualified leads to our website
- Ensure baseline metrics, tracking, and ongoing reporting are in place for all initiatives
- Conduct market research, analyze results, formulate reports, make recommendations
- Actively participate in other marketing team activities and initiatives
- Other duties and special projects as assigned

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or Communications
- 3+ years of digital and general marketing experience.
- Advertising/copywriting/content writing experience is a plus
- Exceptional writing skills, especially for the web and social media
- Flawless editing and proofreading skills
- Experience in web optimization, design, content, SEO, SEM
- Experience with Social Media content generation and campaigns
- Experience with Google Analytics, AdWords, Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong presentation, written and verbal communications skills
- Data driven, understands the importance of KPIs, measurement, tracking and reporting
- Team player and collaborator, with a belief in the importance of transparency and sharing
- Strong can-do attitude. Ability to pivot as needed
- Takes ownership and initiative to drive projects through to completion
- Professional demeanor, positive approach, sense of humor
- Desire for growth and development - Interest in the multifamily apartment industry
