Established in 1921, Edward Rose & Sons is a privately held real estate development and management company that engages in a variety of land development and construction projects for apartment and senior living communities. We are a continuously growing company currently looking for an Emerging Leaders Intern who is interested in learning the business of a property management and development company.

The Emerging Leaders Internship introduces students to the residential property management industry and promotes a solid foundation of the principles necessary for success as a property manager. Through immersive learning, interns have the opportunity to analyze operations of an apartment community and contribute to the financial improvement of an asset. Interns conduct research through analysis of financial and marketing reports, observation of on-site operations, and participation in on-site activities; interns present their findings and recommendations to members of senior management at several points during the internship.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is currently in college and majoring in residential property management, real estate, or related fields. This position is intended to last during the intern’s summer break, based on their school schedule.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Through distance learning and experiential learning opportunities, interns will be actively involved in all phases of property management:

  • Financial
  • Administrative

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college.
  • Junior, Senior or Graduate student status is preferred.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Residential Property Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0/4.0 scale is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy is required.
  • Must be highly proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex information.
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.

Employees are required to be honest and trustworthy with a satisfactory background. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation will be required as this position will entail the operation of a personal and potentially a company vehicle.
