Administrative Assistant

Clinton Township, MI

The Harbours Apartments is looking to fill a full-time Administrative Assistant position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, as well as oral and written communication skills. Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and finish tasks in a timely manner are also highly regarded attributes for this position.

This full-time position (40 hours a week) includes working either a Saturday or Sunday.

Job responsibilities include:

Performing routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, providing information to callers, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files.

Job Requirements:

  • Administrative tasks such as copying, filing, mailing packages, and sorting mail.
  • Answer multi-line telephones, greet guests, and accept late rental payments.
  • Prepare past due rent notices for residents.
  • Schedule appointments for leasing consultants.
  • Cover the reception desk on a rotating basis.
  • Assist management team with special projects.
  • Present the ability to work cooperatively with others.
  • Must follow federal laws and fair-housing regulations.
  • Previous experience with property management is a plus.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous experience in the property management field is preferred.
  • Experience using Yardi Voyager or related property management software is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Requires a positive attitude and exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, especially with Word and Excel.
  • Must adhere to the team apparel policy.
  • Regular attendance, work ethic and strong interpersonal skills are required for success in this position.

Employees are required to be honest and trustworthy with a satisfactory background. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation will be required, as this position will entail the operation of a personal and potentially a company vehicle.
