Senior Technical Accountant
Charleston, SC
This role involves a combination of responsibilities for external reporting and technical accounting projects. The time will be split approximately 50/50 between the two. External reporting responsibilities will include management of quarter end reporting tasks including the coordination and gathering of information from groups throughout the business, preparation of quarterly reports (10-K's and 10-Q's), coordination of reviews with the key stakeholders and management of quarterly reviews and year-end audits as part of the external reporting team [or] along with the external reporting manager. Technical accounting projects will vary from resolution of a single complex accounting issue to assistance with a large-scale projects (e.g., implementation of new accounting standards and policies, IFRS-to-US GAAP conversion assessments and other). The work will include reviews of contracts, research of accounting literature, drafting of accounting memos and other. This role will report to the Senior Manager, External Reporting and Technical Accounting.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or with a private company in a similar role (SEC reporting, technical accounting).
- Strong communication, teamwork, project management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
