Supplier Support Engagement Specialist

Irving, TX

Job Description
This position supports the design, programming, configuration and implementation to systems and business processes that meet the Company’s internal and external client needs within the Supplier Support team. Main focus will be on the vendor credentialing and the e-spend and e-procurement platforms. The Supplier Support Engagement Specialist will assist the Supplier Support Software Managers in troubleshooting daily issues and overall support of all related systems.


Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure proper integration of suppliers from our third-party credentialing systems into applicable accounting systems and e-procurement/expense management system.
  2. Creates/updates/deactivates user credentials and communities in systems, as necessary.
  3. Troubleshoots issues within each system and helps to resolve daily export errors. Communicates with the Supplier Support Advocates when there is a need for community interaction.
  4. Participates in the analysis, testing and deployment of application upgrades to the vendor credentialing and e-spend and e-procurement systems.
  5. Notifies management of project risks and impediments; proactively works with other members of the team to complete assigned tasks as defined by project scope and timelines. Defines and scopes related project tasks, goals and deliverables with proper timelines and schedule.
  6. Creates ad-hoc queries and reports. Understands business reporting requirements, assists with the design and development requirements for reports, and delivers agreed upon results.
  7. Performs various audits in each system as scheduled or as necessary.
  8. Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors for all Supplier Support systems.
  9. Attends weekly meetings and stays abreast of current client goals, concerns, and master plan.


Education

College degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.



Qualifications

  • Two or more years of demonstrated ability working on software support/implementation projects, development activities, and overall database administration.
  • Must have knowledge of standard business analysis, business process definition and project management concepts and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to prepare and explain financial data to executive and senior managers, team members, and internal and external clients, business contacts, and customers.
  • Employment history that demonstrates the application and usage of an accounting and financial background sufficient to comprehend basic accounting principles.
