We are seeking a Compliance Specialist for the eight (8) properties we own and operate in the Washington, DC area. They are located in Germantown, MD, Edgewater, MD, Temple Hills, MD, Temple Hills, MD, Upper Marlboro, MD, Ashburn, VA, Sterling, VA and Alexandria, VA.
You will have the responsibility of:
- Approving annual recertification files
- Visiting sites monthly or more frequently as needed to review/finalize pre-approved resident files
- Assisting the Regional Compliance Auditor in preparing for and attending affordable and LIHTC audits performed by state and regulatory agencies
- Assisting Regional Compliance Auditor with Yardi set-up, and training new staff members at property take-over
Qualifications:
- Requires strong knowledge of LIHTC regulations.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Must have the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Project-based Section 8/Tax Credit blended residential knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with Yardi software a plus. Must be proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
