Job Description
The Senior Tax Associate is responsible for working within the Company’s tax function to provide support with the compliance area as needed.
Education
BS in Accounting, Masters of Taxation or equivalent work experience preferred. Five (5) years prior experience in public accounting and/or equivalent experience with a large corporate tax department or large real estate partnership structure.

Qualifications
- Proficiency in federal and state corporate and partnership income tax rules with demonstrated ability to prepare and federal / state corporate and partnership income tax returns. Demonstrated ability with other tax types such as sales, property, and employment taxes.
- A combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the application and usage of generally accepted (“GAAP”) and tax accounting principles. Proficiency in the application of tax and financial accounting in order to sufficiently analyze financial data.
- Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, excel spreadsheets, database management, and property management (e.g. Yardi, One Site) programs in order to complete required reports as well as the required mathematical skills needed to compile tax and GAAP financial records and other fiscal reporting information.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prepare and communicate tax & financial data to management, team members, external tax consultants, auditors, and others as required.
- FAS 109 and Fin 48 experience which includes a history of preparing and analyzing tax provisions for large corporate or partnership structures is helpful but not required.
