JOB SUMMARYResponsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touchups, and coordinating large painting projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein.

  • Paints, airbrushes, and performs fiberglass repairs and detail finish work on painted figures.
  • Prepare entire apartment after move out, including, but not limited to : removal of all cover plates; removal of blinds; removal of all doorknobs; removal of towel bars, toilet paper holder etc.; taping off of mirrored wardrobes and all other accessories; patch and repair of all holes; texture patched areas if necessary.
  • Completes exterior painting and repairs including, curbs, patios, exterior doors and other special projects.
  • Performs other maintenance functions within property and assists other maintenance associates as deemed necessary by Service Manager.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste in an appropriate manner.
  • Performs other tasks as may be required by the position and/or directed by the supervisor.

Physical Requirements

  • This position works both indoor and outdoor. Depending on assignment may be subject to the natural elements.
  • Works in low to moderate noise levels.
  • The incumbent is required to sit, stand and walk frequently.
  • Must be able to work in awkward positions.
  • Lifts and or more up to 25 lbs. frequently.
  • Ability to frequently climb, kneel, stoop, crouch and/or crawl.
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
  • Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Must have the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
  • Uses hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
  • Ability to work around chemical cleaning solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Three to six months of experience as a Porter/Groundskeeper in a residential, hospitality or similar industry.
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to understand basic instructions verbally or in written form.
  • Ability to multi-task and have good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work around chemical cleaning solutions.
