Business Systems Analyst

Job Description
The Business Systems Analyst supports the design, programming, configuration and implementation or improvements to systems and business processes that meet the Company’s internal and external client needs for business operations and data analysis.
  • Participates in the analysis, testing and deployment of application upgrades to third party developed systems.
  • Work directly with customers to determine requirements needed for system changes and implementations.
  • Performs analysis on new and existing systems and designs software specifications as needed.
  • Monitor and assess existing system / system usage to identify needed system improvements.
  • Develops project implementation work plans, monitors progress and make adjustments, as necessary, in order to ensure effective and efficient development efforts.
  • Provides custom reports and ad hoc analysis as required by various internal business groups.
  • Perform system administrator function including user management, maintaining system data, visual layout, and work flow rules.
  • Provides training and technical support to end users for new or existing systems.


Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or related field or relevant work experience.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) or more years of prior experience as a Business Analyst working on software development / implementation projects.
  • Proficient with standard business analysis, business process definition and project management concepts and tools.
  • Basic SQL skills required, Advanced SQL skills preferred.
  • Experience in an Agile Development Environment preferred.
