Tax Manager

Continental Properties Company, Inc. is looking for the best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as a Tax Manager based out of our home office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.

This position works closely with the Tax Director to facilitate a wide variety of activities associated with tax and compliance.  The position will have the opportunity to develop their technical knowledge in federal and state taxation in a dynamic real estate company.

What you will do:

  • Plan, supervise, review and complete tax compliance work for a multiple entity Private Equity firm
  • Coordinate work flow with and supervise outside accounting firm tax team
  • Complete investor projections and compliance work, including direct contact with outside investors
  • Supervise multiple state compliance work and prepare fixed asset accounts
  • Assist with estimated federal and state income tax payments
  • Supervise and perform capital account maintenance
  • Assist in federal and state audits and tax notices
  • Update professional knowledge by tracking and analyzing new legislation, both federal and state, and maintaining and improving knowledge through professional reading and education
  • Identify, develop and implement process improvements
  • Research projects as directed, work on tax projects as needed

What we need:

  • A motivated self-starter, who works well independently and possesses a drive to learn
  • Detail oriented and highly organized - able to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work on a team and develop and motivate individuals
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting – CPA and master’s degree preferred
  • Five years’ experience in real estate or professional services firm
  • Professional knowledge in real estate, including proficiency in partnership law
