Press Analyst

The Press Analyst will be an integral member of the lean team responsible for all communications related to Greystar’s investment management business and corporate brand globally. This role will support the day-to-day administrative needs of the Global Public Affairs team, serving as the first line point of contact with journalists, scheduling interviews, issuing and posting press releases and social media posts, managing invoices related to the public affairs team, and helping to draft various communications.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, real estate, or relevant field.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and writing skills
- Well-organized, able to work with deadlines, strong attention to detail, self-starter, creative.
- Demonstrated passion for public relations and real estate industries and looking for career advancement in the field.
- Track and manage various communications calendars (conferences, events, award deadlines, editorial calendars, etc.) and media contact databases
- Answer press phone line and relay media inquiries, interfacing with journalists with professionalism and discretion
- Schedule and coordinate logistical aspects of phone and in-person media interviews between company executives and journalists
- Participate in strategy meetings and support team in preparation of internal and external communication materials including briefing notes, communications plans, email blasts, press releases, social media content, blog posts, Op-Eds, videos, award submissions, etc.
- Assist in tracking, consolidation and reporting of media coverage and web analytics
- Manage logistical aspects of press releases and content distribution via BusinessWire, MailChimp, social media, and posting to company website
- Assist in organization and execution of media events, press conferences, and other media-related events
- Research and proofread materials as needed
- Manage all administrative and support needs for the team
- Ad-hoc projects and expanded responsibilities over time
