The Position

Starpoint Property Management, LLC is currently seeking a Assistant Manger/Leasing Consultant for a beautiful 78 unit building in West Covina.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Promotes tenant satisfaction by helping to ensure work orders are completed by on-site maintenance on time and satisfactorily and assisting in resolution of rent issues and other requests.

Leases available apartments to new residents by effectively presenting apartments, property and amenities by phone and during in-person tours.

Maintains knowledge about the rental market and helps ensure competitive market pricing by conducting comparative surveys.

Attracts potential new tenants by monitoring and improving property advertising and marketing outreach.

Completes administration by maintaining accurate records of phone and walk-in traffic, completing move-out paperwork, and completing reports as requested.

Complies with company policies and procedures and ensures potential residents are qualified by obtaining appropriate credit and criminal reports.

Ensures apartments are rent-ready, by interacting with maintenance and performing other activities such as vacuuming and cleaning, as needed.

Effectively completes move-ins by ensuring apartments are rent-ready, preparing move-in paperwork, scheduling move-ins, and handling key assignments for new residents.

Complies with company policies and with Federal & Local Fair Housing regulations and ordinances and with company policies.

May collect and enter rents, monitor delinquency, serve late notices, and inspect property as requested.

Serves as backup and handles full responsibilities of Community Manager as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervises the work of property staff as required by Community Manager, by communicating expectations, delegating work, monitoring progress, and providing performance feedback and training.

Qualifications:

Two years of experience in Sales and Marketing or Customer Service.

One year of experience in property management industry.

Excellent computer skills with proficiency in MSWord, Excel and database software (Yardi preferred).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.

Ability to work weekends

Salary: $20 to $22 per hour plus Leasing Commissions and Quarterly Bonuses
