POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Training Specialist is an integral member of the Sales Enablement team that supports the global sales team, responsible for training the very best talent for the sales team. The Senior Training Specialist is accountable for the successful onboarding of new Leasing Consultants as well as the ongoing training of existing Leasing Consultants. This role will lead and/or facilitate the execution of all sales-related trainings. As part of the Sales Enablement team, they will also take on other responsibilities within that team when appropriate, like hiring and quality assurance.

Please note that this job position entails in-person office requirements for a minimum of 3 days per week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, located at Essex's corporate office in Irvine. There will also be an occasional need for additional in offices days depending on projects and programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the training process for all entry level positions in Sales.
  • Deliver engaging and effective onboarding and sales training sessions, leveraging your expertise to inspire and motivate.
  • Partner with Talent Development and Sales Leadership to develop innovative sales training content and agendas that resonate with our team.
  • Monitor and achieve KPIs that lead to success within the role.
  • Consistently evaluate and refine training processes to ensure maximum impact and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with Recruiting, Talent Development, Hiring Specialist, and Sales Leadership to align strategies and objectives.
  • Conduct interviews and engage in the hiring process when needed.
  • Provide support if needed to the team’s quality assurance objectives, to ensure consistency and excellence in performance.
  • Exercise discretion as it relates to confidential resident, property and company information.
  • Compliance with company standards as defined in the Human Resources Policy Manual, E-Way Processes and Procedures, and applicable laws, e.g., Fair Housing, Landlord Tenant, Local Building Codes, OSHA, and EEOC.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales training and facilitation
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency to read, write, and effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, and management
  • Proficient understanding of the Microsoft suite, familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Passion for creating and maintaining a positive workplace culture

The salary range for this position is $69,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $69,000.00 - $83,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.

This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
