POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Hiring Specialist is an integral member of the Sales Enablement team that supports the global sales team, responsible for hiring the very best talent for the sales team. The Senior Hiring Specialist is accountable for hiring quality Leasing Consultants that retain and achieve their job expectations in the first 90 days. This role will interview candidates provided by Recruiting, set proper expectations, and deliver a job-ready candidate to the Trainer. As part of the Sales Enablement team, they will also take on other responsibilities within that team when appropriate, like training and quality assurance.

Please note that this job position entails in-person office requirements for a minimum of 3 days per week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, located at Essex's corporate office in Irvine. There will also be an occasional need for additional in offices days depending on projects and programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the participation in recruitment and onboarding process for all entry level positions in Sales.
  • Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, including orientation sessions and training programs.
  • Interview final candidates for placement and ensure candidate profiles are optimized for ideal candidate placement. Engage in training sessions and facilitation as needed to support the development of new hires and ongoing skills enhancement for existing team members.
  • Collaborate with Sales Trainers to design and deliver effective training programs tailored to the needs of entry-level employees.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to new hires during their initial training period to ensure their success in their roles.
  • Support the quality assurance objectives of the Sales team by ensuring that new hires meet performance standards and quality metrics.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to identify training needs and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and achieve KPIs  and take proactive measures to achieve success within the role.
  • Consistently evaluate, iterate, and improve upon hiring processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Recruiting, Talent Development, Sales Trainer, and Sales Leadership to align hiring and training efforts with organizational goals.
  • Exercise discretion as it relates to confidential resident, property and company information.
  • Compliance with company standards as defined in the Human Resources Policy Manual, E-Way Processes and Procedures, and applicable laws, e.g., Fair Housing, Landlord Tenant, Local Building Codes, OSHA, and EEOC.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in sales recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Show strong knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Proficiency to read, write, and effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, and management
  • Proficient understanding of the Microsoft suite, familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Passion for creating and maintaining a positive workplace culture

The salary range for this position is $63,000.00 - $88,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $63,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.

This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
