RegularJOB SUMMARY:
The Revenue Operations BI & Analytics team is dedicated to empowering the Marketing, Leasing, and Revenue Management teams by disseminating data-driven insights focused on optimizing revenue and developing proprietary analytics and forecasting models. The Analyst, Asset Strategy & Analytics will play a key role in developing and maintaining proprietary analytics, forecasting models, and dynamic dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making processes related to revenue growth and profitability.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Build ad hoc reports and analyses to address specific business questions, providing timely and accurate insights to stakeholders.
Analyze data to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks.
Play pivotal role in the development of reporting, visualizations, and building internal applications to meet organizational needs
Collaborate with business units and stakeholders to conduct iterative user design sessions, creating rapid solution prototypes while creating consistency and cohesion in the presentation and design of analytics.
Provide regular project status updates, escalate issues, and communicate project risks to key stakeholders
Identify opportunities to enhance existing BI processes, tools, and reporting systems, and work with teams to implement improvements that boost efficiency and effectiveness.
Oversee data accuracy and integrity, implement data quality processes, and facilitate the adoption of established data dictionaries and methodology of key KPI's and models across the platform.
Serve as primary point of contact and direct support for business stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies, bugs, and provide real-time support to business by collaborating directly with IT in discovery and solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required.
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in real estate, financial planning & analysis is preferred
Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
WHAT THE JOB REQUIRES:
Work is primarily conducted in an office setting. Requires sitting at a desk or workstation for extended periods. Involves the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
Requires the ability to work Monday through Friday. Entails in-person office requirements for a minimum of 3 days per week: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, located at Essex's corporate offices in Irvine.
Requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Minimal physical effort in the day-to-day tasks.
Minimal travel may be required for occasional meetings, training, or conferences.

The salary range for this position is $91,000.00 - $136,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $91,000.00 - $114,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
