About the opportunity
WinnCompanies is looking for a General Maintenance Associate - Duct Cleaner to join our military housing team at Fort Hood, TX.
In this role, you will respond to service calls, complete COM work, and work on other property maintenance requirements, including cleaning and maintaining residential HVAC ductwork, registers, dryer vents, and other HVAC mechanical components.
This position is located at a federal facility. In accordance with the REAL ID Act, effective May 7, 2025, a REAL ID compliant driver's license/ID is required in order to access the federal facility.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to service calls, complete COM work, and fulfill other property maintenance requirements, including cleaning and maintenance of residential HVAC ductwork, registers, dryer vents, and other HVAC mechanical components.
- Complete on-call emergency repairs as directed by immediate supervisor or other organization management representatives.
- Update work order status including time, materials, and notes on mobile devices provided in an accurate and timely manner.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Keep supervisor well-informed of activities, results, and problems identified.
- Recommend corrective actions to supervisor.
- Maintain vehicle and vehicle inventory as prescribed.
- Complete work quickly and efficiently, in order to meet project deadlines.
- Carry and maintain all supplies necessary to satisfactorily perform routine functions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
- Lend Lease Environmental Certification.
- Ability to obtain applicable state certifications within the first 90 days of hire.
- Ability to provide basic tools and equipment necessary to perform daily duties.
- Basic competency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades.
- Basic familiarity with computers and tablets.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to read and write in English, in order to understand basic instructions and take direction from supervisors.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
