We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and hands-on Maintenance Engineer who takes pride in keeping a hotel looking great and operating at its best.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys fixing things, solving problems, learning new skills, and working in a fast-paced hotel environment. You do not need to know everything on day one - we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical ability, a willingness to learn, and the motivation to grow.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will help maintain our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces while working closely with hotel leadership and other departments to keep the property safe, functional, and guest-ready.
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for maintenance needs.
Respond quickly to maintenance requests and guest concerns.
Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, furniture, and general building maintenance.
Repair or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, fixtures, caulking, and grout.
Assist with preventive maintenance throughout the hotel.
Help identify problems before they become larger or more expensive repairs.
Complete maintenance work orders accurately and document repairs performed.
Communicate rooms or equipment requiring additional repair to hotel leadership.
Assist with placing rooms out of order when necessary and help return rooms to service as quickly as possible.
Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and supply inventories.
Keep engineering and storage areas clean, organized, and safe.
Assist other hotel departments when operational needs require it.
Participate in special projects and property improvement initiatives.
We want someone who:

Enjoys working with their hands and solving problems.
Takes pride in the appearance and condition of the property.
Can communicate professionally with guests and coworkers.
Is comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.
Wants to learn more about hotel engineering and grow their technical skills.
Can prioritize multiple maintenance requests in a busy hotel environment.
Understands that guest service is part of the engineering job.
Is willing to help wherever needed to keep the hotel operating successfully.
Basic experience with maintenance, construction, apartment maintenance, facilities, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical work, carpentry, or a related trade is preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Familiarity with basic hand and power tools.
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general repairs is preferred.
Ability to follow safety procedures and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Basic communication and math skills.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Hotel experience is helpful, but not required. Candidates with experience in apartments, residential maintenance, construction, HVAC, facilities, automotive/mechanical work, or skilled trades are encouraged to apply.
A successful Maintenance Engineer helps us:
Keep guest rooms in excellent condition.
Respond to maintenance issues quickly.
Reduce repeat maintenance problems.
Keep rooms available for guests.
Maintain clean and professional public spaces.
Prevent equipment failures through preventive maintenance.
Work safely and protect hotel assets.
Deliver a hotel experience our guests are excited to return to.
Safety is a priority. Personal Protective Equipment may be required depending on the task being performed. The hotel provides required PPE and training. Team members are responsible for properly using assigned equipment and immediately reporting damaged, defective, or missing safety equipment.
This is more than a position for someone who simply completes work orders. We are looking for someone who wants to learn the property, take ownership, become a stronger engineer, and be an important part of the hotel's success.
If you are dependable, mechanically inclined, motivated to learn, and enjoy seeing the results of your work every day, we want to meet you.
