Colonial Country Club, located in Fort Myers, FL, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a Full-Time Maintenance Technician! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility-related issues as needed.
- Inspect equipment and identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Replace or repair defective components, parts, wiring, motors, pumps, and other equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers when specialized repairs are required.
- Assist with installation, relocation, and modification of equipment and facility systems.
- Maintain an inventory of commonly used tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous maintenance, industrial, facilities, or mechanical experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and work in various physical environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical school, trade certification, or maintenance-related training.
- Electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical certifications.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, apartment, commercial, or industrial environment.
Schedule
- Full-time position. Schedule may include weekends, overtime, on-call shifts, or emergency response depending on business needs.
