Property Maintenance - Commercial Facilities Tech

Locations available: Baraboo, Monona, and Greater Madison, WI area 

What's the role?

Put your maintenance skills to use across a variety of buildings, systems, and projects. As a Commercial Facilities Technician with REMS, you'll take on repairs, improvements, preventative upkeep, and grounds maintenance of our commercial properties across your dedicated location. This role is great for someone with a broad maintenance skills set who is comfortable taking on a variety of projects. Duties include: 

• Performing general building maintenance, repairs and improvements such as painting, structural and minor roof repair
• Apartment turn-over, HVAC, minor electrical, plumbing, appliance installation/removal, and emergency maintenance
• Providing grounds maintenance, including but not limited to: landscaping, exterior building maintenance, and snow removal 
• Maintaining streets and common areas of the property
• Safely operate a truck to transport materials 
• Communicating effectively and professionally with all residents and coworkers while working in a team environment

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

• A diverse and well-rounded skill set with the ability to support multiple maintenance functions 
• Experience providing maintenance services for rental properties, storage facilities, or similar is highly desired
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills 
• Ability to work both independently and with team members 
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties as needed

What's the schedule?

Both full-time and part-time opportunities across all REMS locations listed above. Overall flexibility in scheduling is based on meeting property and operational needs. Team members in this role participate in an on-call rotation for nights and weekends, typically rotating every other week.
