The Baylands Development Inc. is a development and property management company located in the Visitacion Valley district of San Francisco. We are seeking a positive, upbeat person to come onboard as our Property Manager. The ability to effectively communicate accurately and manage tasks efficiently is a must. The candidate also must demonstrate professionalism and integrity as considerable judgment and discretion will be needed in completing assignments.
Job Responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:
- Administer lease agreements—particularly commercial leases including warehouse and yard spaces—ensure tenant and landlord compliance, manage move-ins and move-outs, and deliver high-quality customer service.
- Prepare monthly budget variance reports, recommend strategies to improve net operating income and cash flow, and manage tenant reconciliations.
- Oversee service contracts (janitorial, security, landscaping, etc.), ensure vendor qualifications and compliance, and periodically obtain competitive bids.
- Coordinate tenant improvements and capital projects, supervise maintenance and engineering functions, and ensure timely project completion and unit turnover.
- Maintain compliance with local regulations and safety standards, file necessary reports, and stay updated on environmental and building code requirements.
- Supervise property staff and third-party vendors, manage fire/life safety and preventative maintenance programs, and oversee all administrative functions related to property operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in property management, construction, and team leadership, with a strong focus on commercial leasing, including warehouse and yard leases.
- Must have the interpersonal skills and presence to interact effectively with all constituencies. A high-energy team player with a “can do” attitude and containable ego.
- Strong knowledge of lease administration, real estate law, building systems, and financial reporting.
- Strong networking skills to build and leverage relationships within the community and industry.
- Professional, dependable, and skilled in vendor and tenant management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Yardi is a plus
