Arnold Grounds Apartment Management is seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Sterling Residency in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have hands-on multifamily maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to providing residents with a safe, clean, and well-maintained community.
Complete resident service requests and work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and painting.
Assist with apartment make-readies and unit turns to ensure homes are prepared for new residents.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance throughout the property.
Troubleshoot and repair appliances, fixtures, mechanical equipment, and building systems.
Maintain community grounds, common areas, maintenance shops, and equipment.
Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance calls as part of the property's on-call rotation.
Assist with property inspections and promptly address identified maintenance or safety concerns.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, supplies, and preventative maintenance.
Follow OSHA requirements, company safety procedures, and established property policies.
Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, property management, and other team members.
Previous multifamily or apartment maintenance experience preferred.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance repair, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
HVAC/EPA certification preferred.
Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and complete repairs with limited supervision.
Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple work orders and respond appropriately to emergency maintenance situations.
Must be dependable and able to participate in an on-call rotation.
Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with apartment maintenance, including lifting, bending, climbing, standing, and working indoors and outdoors.
