Part-Time Leasing Professional — Pilots Pointe

For a prospective resident, choosing an apartment isn’t just about the floor plan or the price. They’re deciding where they’re going to live, study, spend time with friends, and call home.
At Pilots Pointe Apartments at LSUS, we’re looking for a Part-Time Leasing Professional who understands how much that experience matters. You’ll often be one of the first people a future resident meets, and you’ll help take them from their first question or tour through the leasing process.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, knows how to follow up, and wants to gain experience in leasing, sales, or property management while working a part-time schedule.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Connecting with prospective residents by phone, email, online inquiries, and in person
- Touring the community and helping prospects find the apartment that fits what they’re looking for
- Following up with leads and helping turn interest into signed leases
- Assisting with applications, leasing paperwork, and other administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate prospect and resident information in the property management system
- Supporting resident move-ins and day-to-day resident needs
- Staying knowledgeable about availability, pricing, specials, and the surrounding area
- Helping with community outreach, events, and social media
- Keeping the leasing office welcoming, organized, and ready for prospective residents
- Working alongside the onsite team to create a great resident experience
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need years of property management experience to be successful here. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable talking with people, willing to learn, and understands that follow-up matters.
Ideally, you bring:
- 6 months of leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication and people skills
- An outgoing and approachable personality
- Good organization and follow-through
- Comfort using email, social media, and basic computer programs
- The ability to work independently while still being part of a team
- Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including some weekends as needed
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn’t just getting someone to sign a lease.
It’s answering the phone when someone has a question. It’s following up after a tour instead of waiting for the prospect to call you. It’s knowing what’s available and being able to explain why Pilots Pointe might be the right fit.
And once someone becomes a resident, it’s continuing to make them feel like they made the right choice.
Compensation & Schedule
This is a part-time position paying $15/hour, with the opportunity to earn additional income through leasing commissions.
The part-time schedule offers flexibility and can be a great fit for a college student or someone looking for supplemental hours while gaining hands-on experience in leasing and property management.
