Job Summary:
Shows and leases apartments to prospective residents. Is customer focused and service oriented and strives to make current residents feel welcome and comfortable in their community. Works as a team member along with the service staff to ensure the community meets the quality standards set forth by Tishco Properties, LLC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned in the future and every employee is expected to perform any reasonable task or request that is consistent with fulfilling company objectives.
- Leasing/Marketing:
- Maintains a professional, clean, organized, and friendly atmosphere in the leasing office and other areas where prospective residents and residents meet.
- Greet all incoming traffic that enter the office in a courteous and professional manner
- Assist residents with questions or concerns
- Respond to all incoming TEXTBOX messages in a timely manner
- Oversee all aspects of lead and customer service in ELISE
- Inspects market ready apartments to ensure they are ready for move in
- Inspects apartments when residents move out, take pictures, upload pictures into YARDI, and complete all move out paperwork, and any final utility billing.
- Maintain an awareness of local market conditions and trends. Contributes ideas to the Resident Manager for marketing property and for improving resident satisfaction.
- Maintains open communication with Resident Manager
- Meet all report deadlines set forth by upper Management.
- Must be honest and ethical in all financial matters, in reports to supervisors, other management personnel and in relationships with the residents
- Represent the company in a professional manner both on and off the property Always have professionalism using social media.
- Show properties to interested renters and highlight amenities and features
- Complies with all state landlord-resident and Fair Housing laws and standards.
- Daily posting on all social media platforms
- Administrative:
- Answers incoming phone calls in the office in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conduct application verification
- Complete various resident communications as needed
- Organizes and files appropriate reports, leases and paperwork.
- Sends thank you notes and follows up with prospective residents
- Stamps, sorts and distributes mail
- Photocopies documents
- Inventories office supplies and reports to manager
- Delivers items to other business establishments
- Any other duties assigned by your supervisor
- Other job functions:
- Inspects property, picks up litter and reports any service needs to maintenance staff.
- Attends company meetings when requested.
- Assists other staff members as needed
- May be required to drive motorized vehicle on and off property for company business
- Performs any additional duties assigned by manager

Skills, Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver’s license and automobile insurance are required
- Previous experience with property management a plus
- Must be able to utilize common office equipment such as (but not limited to) copiers, fax machines, phone systems, work stations and laptop computers.
- Know or be able to learn computer software specific to each property YARDI, ELISE, TEXTBOX, Utility billing/verifications, Rent Café, Better NOI
- Strong customer service skills required
Language Skills:
a. Ability to speak effectively with residents and co-workers.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurements, volume and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
a. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

- Driving – Occasional need (1% to 33% of the time) to utilize personal transportation to inspect apartment community, sister properties, and surrounding neighborhood, make trips to the bank and also visit the corporate office.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work indoors at least 50% of the time.
- Ability to work outdoors at least 50% of the time.
- Occasional exposure to caustics, solvents, oils, fumes, flammables, pesticides, cleaning detergents, etc.
