Managing Director- Retail Development Summary:
Job Description: The Managing Director is responsible for all aspects of leasing the commercial space.
Reports to: President
Wage Status: Exempt (Ineligible for overtime)
Job Responsibilities:
- Due diligence activities
- Manage the leasing process for commercial space with our existing and new apartment developments.
- Acting as an owner’s representative for our existing apartment properties.
- Work with outside brokers to secure commercial tenants and internal departments, such as accounting, finance, development and construction to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of spaces.
- Originate commercial transactions for the account of Posts’ principals premised upon buying land for construction of a building for a single tenant where the tenant would sign a lease during due diligence.
- Work with internal departments to ensure success.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree required
- 3 or more year of experience in Retail Management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Advanced knowledge of computer software packages and spreadsheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Ability to perform in a busy, multi-tasking work environment
