We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the service team at an established multifamily community in Johns Creek, GA.
The ideal candidate is technically strong, dependable, proactive, and comfortable working with an older asset and aging building systems. This position requires someone who can independently troubleshoot maintenance issues, identify recurring concerns, and determine the appropriate repair solution.
Previous multifamily maintenance experience, strong hands-on HVAC experience, and experience working with older multifamily assets are required.
Key responsibilities include:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems
• Perform HVAC preventative maintenance and identify potential issues before they result in larger repairs
• Troubleshoot condensers, air handlers, thermostats, motors, capacitors, contactors, airflow issues, and related components
• Complete resident service requests involving plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, locks, and general maintenance
• Troubleshoot issues commonly associated with older multifamily assets and aging building systems
• Assist with apartment turns and ensure vacant homes meet move-in ready standards
• Identify recurring maintenance issues and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions
• Conduct routine property inspections and address maintenance and safety concerns
• Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, and maintenance records
• Provide professional and responsive customer service to residents
• Participate in the rotating emergency on-call schedule
• Support the service manager and onsite team with additional maintenance needs as required
Required Qualifications:
• Previous multifamily maintenance experience
• Strong hands-on HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair experience
• Previous experience maintaining older multifamily assets and aging building systems
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building maintenance
• Ability to independently diagnose issues and determine appropriate repairs
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with apartment maintenance
EPA certification is strongly preferred.
Candidates who do not have multifamily, HVAC, and older asset maintenance experience will not be considered.
