The Area Maintenance Specialist ensures that the operations of the properties in an assigned area are in compliance with maintenance standards and expectations. This position collaborates with property management to ensure proper execution of a preventative building maintenance schedule for assigned properties.
This position will be based out of several affordable housing apartment communities in the Denver area.
Pay: $34-37/hour, depending on experience.

What You'll Do
Duties
- Collaborate with Property Manager to ensure proper execution of the approved preventative maintenance schedule established for assigned properties.
- Meet or exceed standard unit turnover timelines.
- Implement and maintain environmentally responsible guidelines.
- Ensure that on-call maintenance and emergency response is executed, as required.
- Partner with Property Manager to ensure that maintenance contracts meet or exceed the best possible quality and expense standards.
- Ensure delivery of great customer service to residents.
- Maintain and update the property crisis plan, respond appropriately in crisis situations.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training and expertise in one or more building trades.
- Minimum of two (2) years in skilled maintenance work.
- Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certifications.
Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehend and communicate in the English language, both orally and in writing.
- Perform basic math and understand measurement systems used in the trade.
- Read and interpret electrical, plumbing, and mechanical diagrams and blueprints.
- Make working sketches.
- Use maintenance, trade, and testing equipment and tools.
- Interpret and understand maintenance information generated from property management software reports.
- Basic computer skills.
