Marketing & Leasing Coordinator
Location: Corporate Office (Pittsburgh, PA) with travel to regional properties Reports To: Director of Marketing
Position Overview
McKinney Properties is seeking a Marketing & Leasing Coordinator to help drive brand awareness and leasing performance across our portfolio of apartment communities.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this hands-on role supports digital marketing, social media, content creation, and leasing initiatives while connecting corporate marketing efforts with property-level operations. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, adaptable, and comfortable managing multiple projects while working directly with property teams.
What You Will Do
Digital Marketing & Content
- Own social media planning and execution across the portfolio, developing content strategies, calendars, and campaigns in collaboration with the Director of Marketing and property teams.
- Build strong working relationships with property teams to identify content opportunities, coordinate participation, and ensure each community has a consistent stream of authentic, locally relevant social content.
- Travel to properties and local destinations to create photo and video content for social media and marketing campaigns.
- Coordinate the creation and distribution of digital and physical marketing materials.
- Manage ILS listings and property websites, ensuring accurate pricing, availability, photography, floor plans, and specials.
- Coordinate photography, video, and 3D tour assets across marketing platforms.
- Manage online reputation and Google Business Profiles across the portfolio.
- Own email and SMS marketing across the portfolio, including campaign planning, content, scheduling, audience targeting, and execution.
- Support SEO/SEM and website content initiatives.
Leasing & Portfolio Support
- Own and coordinate secret shops and leasing audits across the portfolio, including identifying opportunities, communicating results to property teams, and organizing an annual leasing training seminar.
- Assist in coordinating site events, resident events, and community initiatives, including planning, marketing, and execution.
- Provide hands-on leasing and marketing support at properties as needed, including during staffing shortages, high-traffic periods, and special events.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in property management, real estate marketing, sales, customer service, or a related field.
- Marketing & Social Media: Strong content creation skills with experience across modern social platforms; Canva or Adobe experience is a plus.
- AI & Technology: Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT and learning new marketing, project management, and property management platforms; Entrata and ClickUp experience are preferred.
- Organization: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional, energetic approach.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Real Estate, or a related field required. Pennsylvania Real Estate License is a bonus.
Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
Travel
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Regular travel between the corporate office and regional properties.
- Travel frequency will fluctuate based on seasonal demands, operational needs, and property-specific events.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work at a desk for extended periods and regularly move throughout apartment communities and office environments.
- Must be able to operate standard office equipment and communicate effectively with others.
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. (e.g., event materials, signage) is required.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors and navigating stairs, buildings, and property grounds in varying weather conditions.
