Lynd Management Group is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to complete general maintenance and repairs throughout a multifamily property.
Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager, this position responds to service requests, completes preventive maintenance, prepares vacant apartments for move-in, and helps maintain the property’s overall safety, appearance, and operation.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in quality work and provides prompt, professional service to residents.

What You’ll Do
- Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders accurately and on time.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
- Complete plumbing repairs, including repairing leaks and removing clogs.
- Perform minor electrical repairs and replace light fixtures and related components.
- Repair appliances, locks, cabinets, walls, flooring, and other apartment features.
- Complete painting, touch-ups, and other apartment make-ready duties.
- Inspect vacant apartments and help ensure they are ready for move-in.
- Maintain pools, equipment, common areas, grounds, maintenance rooms, and other property facilities.
- Complete preventive maintenance projects and maintain accurate service records.
- Clean the work area after completing repairs and communicate work-order status to the appropriate staff.
- Report major repairs, safety hazards, and contractor needs to the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
- Maintain an appropriate inventory of tools, parts, chemicals, and maintenance supplies.
- Coordinate with approved vendors when assigned.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Safely operate tools, equipment, and a motor vehicle when transporting materials between work locations.
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED.
- One to three years of experience in facility, commercial, or multifamily maintenance and mechanical repair.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems and preventive maintenance.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, lighting, painting, flooring, and apartment repairs.
- Ability to safely operate standard and specialized maintenance tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize service requests and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer and mobile technology skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a property team.
- EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred.
- Certified Pool Operator certification preferred.
- Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians preferred.
- Technical school, associate degree, or relevant military training is a plus.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus.
- Ability to provide commonly used industry-specific hand tools when required.
Work Environment and Schedule
This is a full-time, physically active position that may involve standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, safely operating tools, and working indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions.
The Maintenance Technician must participate in the on-call rotation and may be required to work evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, fire watch, or other after-hours assignments based on business needs.
