Oak Creek Enterprises is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. We manage a portfolio of residential and commercial properties throughout San Diego County and are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, takes pride in quality work, and can work independently.
No two days are the same. One morning you may be troubleshooting an appliance, and that afternoon you could be preparing an apartment for a new resident, repairing irrigation, or completing a plumbing repair.
What You'll Do
• Complete maintenance work orders for residential and commercial properties
• Perform apartment turns and make-ready work
• Troubleshoot and repair appliances
• Perform basic plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, disposals, angle stops, and leak repairs
• Perform basic electrical work including outlets, switches, lighting, ceiling fans, and fixtures
• Drywall repair, texture, painting, and finish work
• Install cabinets, flooring, doors, trim, hardware, and other finish carpentry
• Install and replace appliances, microwaves, dishwashers, and range hoods
• Landscape maintenance and irrigation troubleshooting
• Complete preventive maintenance and property inspections
• Respond to occasional maintenance emergencies
• Maintain company tools, inventory, and vehicle
• Work closely with property managers to ensure excellent service for our tenants
We're Looking For Someone Who
• Has 5 years of maintenance or handyman experience
• Can troubleshoot problems rather than simply replace parts
• Is experienced in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair
• Has experience with landscaping and irrigation systems
• Works independently with minimal supervision
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills
• Is organized, dependable, and takes pride in quality workmanship
• Has a valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
Requirements:
• Apartment maintenance or Property management maintenance
• Clean driving record
• Good communication skills
• 3 years experience
• Demonstrated ability to sweat copper
• Demonstrated ability for light electrical
• Demonstrated ability to make high quality drywall repairs
• Demonstrated ability to do professional looking finish work
Preferences:
• HVAC troubleshooting
• Work order software experience
• Bilingual Spanish
• 5 year experience
