Property Manager

Position Description

BJB Florida is looking to hire a Property Manager at The Commons in Jacksonville. The Property Manager will be expected to complete all management duties in a professional and timely manner and maintain the properties to the highest industry standard. Responsibilities include:

• Management of 328 units/36 buildings;
• Responsible for scheduling all maintenance work, approving schedules, and conducting follow up inspection of maintenance work;
• Inspects site grounds daily and approves status of vacant units — ensures buildings are in a clean and orderly condition;
• Attends to the needs of the residents, potential residents and associates utilizing skills in a customer service to ensure that both the internal and external customers are treated with respect, have their concerns properly addressed in a timely manner, and are given proper information regarding policies, procedures and practices;
• Maximize resident retention and renewal rates through exceptional customer service and great communication;
• Overall staff management;
• Maximize income, control expenditures, and maintain financial objectives to meet established goals;
• Oversight of leasing staff to ensure units are occupied
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:

• College degree preferred;
• 5 or more years property management experience or management experience in a similar industry;
• Excellent ability to communicate with others, both orally and in writing;
• Bilingual preferred;
• Computer experience required (Microsoft Office) — including working with property management software systems (Yardi experience a plus);
• Ability to work some weekends as required;
• Highly organized, strong time management and supervisory skills required.
