Position Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll play an essential role in maintaining our apartment communities, ensuring our residents enjoy safe, attractive, and well-maintained homes.
The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and experienced in apartment maintenance with working knowledge of:
- Electrical repairs
- Plumbing
- Drywall and painting
- Flooring
- Appliance repair and installation
- Windows and locks
- HVAC systems
- General carpentry
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests in occupied and vacant apartments
- Repair and install appliances
- Perform drywall, tile, painting, and flooring repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
- Complete plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs
- Perform preventative maintenance under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintain community grounds, including landscaping and waste removal
- Assist with masonry, sewer maintenance, and general property upkeep
- Remove snow and ice as needed
- Work collaboratively with contractors and fellow team members
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for emergency maintenance
- Safely operate company vehicles, including golf carts, quads, and trucks
- Properly and safely use maintenance tools and equipment
- Follow all company safety procedures
Qualifications
- Experience in residential or apartment maintenance preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and appliance repair
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift heavy appliances and maintenance materials
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Reliable, professional, and customer-service oriented
