What You’ll Do
- Prepare apartment homes for new residents with high-quality make-readies.
- Respond to service requests promptly and professionally.
- Partner closely with your property and maintenance team to keep the community running smoothly.
- Maintain the appearance and function of apartments, amenities, grounds, and buildings.
- Oversee vendor work to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Keep supplies organized, order parts as needed, and track inventory.
- Stay compliant with OSHA standards and follow company safety policies.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance.
- Assist with the bid process and training of maintenance team members.
- Handle lock changes, snow/ice removal, and other on-site needs.
- Be available for on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Report unusual or urgent issues to the Property Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Apartment maintenance or handyman experience required.
- Knowledge of HVAC (certification a plus), plumbing, and electrical.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable using power tools and hand tools safely.
- Positive, professional, and resident-focused attitude.
- Supervisory or training experience preferred.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
- Must be able to regularly push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to 50lbs independently.
- Willingness to be on-call and work some weekends.
- Ability to travel between nearby properties and complete supply pickups.
- Valid driver’s license and auto-insurance to pick-up supplies and travel to nearby properties
- Competitive pay $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
