Position Summary
Iris Memory Care of Edmond is seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee the day-to-day maintenance, repair, safety, and appearance of our community. This role is responsible for preventative maintenance, life safety compliance, building systems, grounds upkeep, apartment make-readies, vendor coordination, and maintaining a welcoming environment for Residents, families, and team members.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, mechanically skilled, and enjoys being part of a team-driven, mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee preventative maintenance and repairs for the building, grounds, and equipment
Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Complete apartment make-readies and refurbishments after move-outs
Coordinate and document life safety inspections and compliance requirements
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for Residents and team members
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts
Monitor maintenance supplies and inventory
Assist with emergency preparedness, safety drills, and infection control practices
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
Support a positive, team-oriented culture throughout the community
QualificationsQualifications
Experience in maintenance, facilities, janitorial, or related work preferred
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance
Ability to troubleshoot and complete minor repairs independently
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours and participate in on-call responsibilities as needed
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties
Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is a plus
