Maintenance Technician II – Full-Time (Assisted Living)

You're comfortable handling a wide variety of maintenance tasks and take pride in keeping buildings safe, functional, and looking their best. You enjoy interacting with residents, working independently, and being the go-to maintenance technician for your assigned area.
A Day in the Life:
Serve as the primary Maintenance Technician supporting our Assisted Living community
Respond promptly to resident and staff maintenance requests with professionalism and courtesy
Perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, drywall, doors, locks, and building systems
Complete preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and building systems operate safely and efficiently
Assist with apartment turnovers, renovations, fixture replacements, and resident move-ins
Maintain clean, organized work areas and properly care for tools and equipment
Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as needed
Participate in the department's on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies
Support campus projects and assist fellow maintenance team members as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Valid Kansas driver's license required
Minimum three (3) years of general building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or related trade experience preferred
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and general building repairs
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
Strong customer service and communication skills
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize work independently while collaborating with the maintenance team
