JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervises and directs the activities associated with expansive development and largeconstructionprojects by reviewingprojectspecifications,blueprints, and buildingplans,supervising the constructionsite personnel and contractors,inspecting and approving completedwork,managing the projectbudget and expenses, and ensuringcompliance with all safety,code, and construction-related codes.
Participates in project planning meetings,reviews and provides inputinto the project’s scope of work and specifications, and the timeline and constructionschedule to ensure an on-time and on-budget projectcompletion.
Reviews bids and proposals from contractors and sub-contractors, develops,negotiates, and approvescontracts, and provides for the acquisition ofmaterials,supplies, and other service providers required to complete the project.
Reviews and recommends change orders or amendments to the specifications,blueprints, and plans when appropriate, and ensures related documents and budgets are amended as needed to reflectchanges to the projectspecifications.
Monitors work at the constructionsite, makes routine quality controlinspections for compliance to code and safetystandards, troubleshoots and resolves issues that may affect the constructionschedule, and appropriatelysurfacesconcerns to key business leaders when required.
Communicates with key business leaders to provide updates on the statusof projects, surface and addressconcerns, and planspecific actions as needed to ensure the on-time and on-budget completion of theprojects.
Directs and supervise team members and contractorsat the worksitebyinterviewing,hiring,orienting, and training employees, and managestheir performance in accordance with Companypolicies, values, and business practices.
Conductsprojectsiteinspectionsas needed to monitorprogress and support project-assigned team members,stepsinas needed to addressandresolveissues and problems, and recommends, approves, and implements modifications to the projectplans,schedule,staffing, or budgetas needed.
Completesvarious human resources, financial, administrative, and other reports and analysis, and performs other duties as assigned or asnecessary.
