This position can be based out of any of our corporate locations in Irvine, CA - San Mateo, CA or Bellevue, WA.

The Senior Specialist of Talent and Performance is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating the leadership and professional development programs for the organization. The person in this role is expert in coaching and performance monitoring who can inspire the employees to set goals, make good career decisions, and leverage their leadership potential. Another function of this role is to support a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by bringing DEI to external and internal branding, application and interview process, and policies and procedures and engaging employees via training, events, and affinity groups. This role is also responsible for supporting the employee wellness programs in the company.

Essential Job Functions:
- Design, develop, and implement leadership and professional development programs that are aligned with the company’s culture, mission, and values.
- Partner with business leaders to strategically align business objectives with people development through learning and skill development activities.
- Collaborate with the key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and learners to conduct needs analysis to define requirements.
- Support talent programs such as 360 feedback, mentorship, and job rotation and facilitate training for management, supervisory, leadership, and general business, as needed.
- Be instrumental in the rollout of the employee wellness programs.
- Work closely with Essex DEI Committee to collaborate on enterprise wide programs to promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related fields or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in talent and leadership development/organizational development.
- 3 years of experience with designing, developing, and managing leadership development programs preferred.
- Experience in building DEI initiatives and programs.
Strong organizational and project management skills to meet multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to improve processes and exercise judgment to work independently.
- Ability to partner with stakeholders in the organization and influence decision makers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
