The Role


The Residential Services Project Manager serves as the communication and coordination interface between the regional Residential Services Community and Residential Services executive leadership teams to ensure collaboration and assistance for on-site operations and associate engagement programs.

The Residential Services Project Manager is responsible for supporting the development and sustainment for AvalonBay’s national and regional RS goals and initiatives. The RS Project Manager will Collaborate directly with regional RS executive leadership, Regional Operations, and Learning & Development by designing, communicating, and implementing operational plans for RS projects. In
addition, this position is responsible for prioritizing and facilitating training programs and initiatives. This position coordinates associate communication and operational
efficiencies between the regional onsite teams and RS Operations.


You Have...


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Business Administration/ Management preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ Years of multi-family property management experience
  • Minimum of 3+ Years of project management experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates proven knowledge of on-site policies and procedures.
  • Familiar with project management principles.
  • Reads and writes English as demonstrated by clear and concise written and verbal communications.
  • Creates and delivers group presentations on function-related subject matter and writes reports in a clear, concise form.
  • Ability to use analytical reasoning and judgment in reviewing reports and prioritizing tasks.
  • Performs basic arithmetic skills (measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) in order to do basic calculations and analyses such as estimating, determining 3 averages and percentages, and calculating totals as outlined under the Business Math Policy (8-01) in the AvalonBay Procedures Manual.
  • Performs basic Microsoft Office applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Frequently operates general office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, telephone, photocopying machine, facsimile machine, and postage machine.
  • Travels within region as needed.
  • Demonstrates a proven knowledge of on-site policy and procedure.
