JOB DESCRIPTION
- Prepare meals that meet strict standards for freshness and quality. Follow recipes as advised.
- Assist in the development of new recipes including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and a variety of ethnic cuisine.
- Take temperatures of hot and cold food in the serving area multiple times per meal period and record them in the temperature log book.
- Practice food-handling skills, maintain a clean work area, and adhere to sanitation rules.
- Work closely with the Food Service Supervisor to ensure consistent application of presentation of menu offerings.
- Notify management of any product outages or any spoiled product.
- Adjust menu production and service techniques on a daily basis to curb food waste.
- Assist in the creation of programs to monitor food production and eliminate food waste, to include policies for leftover use and portion control.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
