US Grill Cook

Prepare meals from recipe, work with the production team to develop new offerings, work with support staff to ensure execution of service and maintain food safety standards.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Prepare meals that meet strict standards for freshness and quality. Follow recipes as advised.
  • Assist in the development of new recipes including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and a variety of ethnic cuisine.
  • Take temperatures of hot and cold food in the serving area multiple times per meal period and record them in the temperature log book.
  • Practice food-handling skills, maintain a clean work area, and adhere to sanitation rules.
  • Work closely with the Food Service Supervisor to ensure consistent application of presentation of menu offerings.
  • Notify management of any product outages or any spoiled product.
  • Adjust menu production and service techniques on a daily basis to curb food waste.
  • Assist in the creation of programs to monitor food production and eliminate food waste, to include policies for leftover use and portion control.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
