Edward Rose & Sons is a family owned company providing modest to brand new luxury apartment communities throughout the Midwest and surrounding states. We handle all phases of development: from land acquisition to construction to management and maintenance.
We are looking for a professional and motivated individual to join our team as a Network Engineer. Network Engineers assist with the technical operation of our Broadband Department. The ideal candidate will have technical experience with both cable and fiber architecture and assist with project planning, implementation and support for our rapidly growing Internet business and the associated network infrastructure.
Other Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Conducting oneself in a professional manner as a company representative, demonstrating sound judgment and conduct.
- Working evenings and weekends when service emergencies occur.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Technology related field or a minimum of 7+ years of related work experience.
- Hardware and software experience with Cisco, Juniper and CASA routers and switches, DOCSIS, DHCP, TFTP, NTP and DNS PHP, MySQL, shell scripts, Linux Server Virtualization, IPV4, IPV6, OSPF and BGP routing.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and quickly resolve issues.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytic and research skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
Employees are required to be honest and trustworthy with a satisfactory background. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation will be required as this position will entail the operation of a personal and potentially a company vehicle.
