Compensation Manager

Responsibilities

Job Title: Compensation Manager



The Compensation Manager will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide variety of complex activities involving compensation and related systems.  Using analytical, organization and communication skills, this position is responsible for providing subject matter expertise on compensation administration for corporate and operations associates. This position will have a key role in business partnership by refining and improving compensation policy, philosophy, process and programs. Requiring a combination of project work and ongoing responsibilities, the Compensation Manager must be able to navigate a wide range of work.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversees activities to develop, implement, and administer compensation programs.
Reviews proposed salary adjustments for conformance to established guidelines and recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related problems.
Recommends company salary structure movements, salary increase budgets, and FLSA exemptions.
Conducts special studies and makes recommendations on subjects such as incentive compensation, bonus plans, housing programs or stock options.
Ensures company compliance with federal and state laws governing compensation. 
Oversees annual survey process to ensure company’s competitive position in the market.
Maintains compensation related systems including Market Pay, Adaptive (Workforce Planning) and Workday
QUALIFICATIONS:Positive attitude, flexibility, and resilience. A passion for details.
Excellent written and verbal communication with all levels of the organization.
Customer-centric, organized, with strong to advanced MS Office Excel skills.
3 to 5 years years of progressive compensation experience including program, policy and process design.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Excellent written & verbal communication.
Bachelor’s Degree; Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or Economics preferred.
STATUS:Reports to: Sr. Director Total Rewards
Supervises: Compensation Analyst
Job Status: Exempt, Full-time Regular, not eligible for overtime
