Edward Rose & Sons is a family owned company providing modest to brand new luxury apartment communities throughout the Midwest and surrounding states.  We handle all phases of development:  from land acquisition to construction to management and maintenance.

We are seeking a professional, motivated individual to assist with construction engineering management in its corporate office.  As part of the new construction team, this individual will negotiate contracts, prepare cost estimates, and review engineering plans. 

Other Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Must possess the ability to interpret construction blueprints
  • Knowledge of residential construction trades and building codes
  • Ability to communicate with subcontractors, vendors, team members, inspectors and suppliers
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and well organized
  • Experience in computer skills and civil engineering a plus
  • Knowledgeable in building materials and installation techniques used in residential construction
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bidding and negotiating with subcontractors
  • Must possess a minimum of five years practical experience in the construction field

Requirements, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Able to interpret construction architectural and civil engineering plans.
  • Knowledgeable of residential construction trades and building codes.
  • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and well organized.
  • Proficient utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledgeable in materials and installation techniques used in infrastructure construction.
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must possess a minimum of five years practical experience in the construction field with emphasis on civil engineering.
  • Must be physically capable of performing construction site inspections.
  • Able to travel.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Employees are required to be honest and trustworthy with a satisfactory background.  A valid driver's license and reliable transportation will be required as this position will entail the operation of a personal and potentially a company vehicle.
