Risk Management Intern

ConAm Management Corporation is an experienced, full service real estate and property management firm which has been in the business for over 40 years. We serve clients nationwide through a network of regional offices located in key metropolitan areas from coast to coast.
The Risk Management Intern will assist the department with the update of information in our Risk Management Information System (RMIS).
Under the direction of the Director of Risk Management, the intern will:
- Review and model the frequency and severity of incidents/claims from data within our RMIS.
- Analyze the results and develop a “story book” presentation.
- Assist with validating whether certificates of insurance meet contractual requirements.
- Manage a primary project to research using various methods and presenting their recommendation to Senior Management by the end of the assignment.
- As time permits, shadow the Loss Control Coordinator on local risk assessments designed to identify safety hazards to employees and tenants.

As an intern, you can expect to attend renewal and claim review meeting with brokers, carriers, and TPA. You will also be invited to attend local RIMS Chapter meetings and participate in the planning of a Chapter event.
The internship will start around May 2020 and will run for 320 hours on a part-time basis (up to 29 hours per week). Candidates being considered for this internship must pass a urine drug test.
